N.D. Kendrick has been deeply involved in grassroots basketball for over 20 years, helping numerous student-athletes pursue their childhood dreams. Throughout his adult life, he has dedicated himself to volunteering, scouting, and consulting within the grassroots basketball community.
N.D. began attending grassroots tournaments in 2001, primarily in the Midwest, where he evaluated prospects and built relationships with college coaches and media members. After years of traveling and learning in gyms, he started providing event recaps for prep sports publications and began marketing his evaluations to college coaching staffs. In 2004, he established The Hoops Window, an NCAA Certified Scouting Service.
During this time, N.D. also wrote recap articles for ESPN, Rivals.com, NBE, Recruit Recon, Hoopniks, and several other national recruiting sites. Additionally, he collaborated with event operators such as Pangos and Elevate Hoops to assist in event operations.
In 2013, he co-founded Pocket City Basketball to offer more exposure opportunities for college coaches to discover talented young men in the Evansville area, while also creating a positive and competitive basketball environment for the athletes. Pocket City Basketball hosts several camps throughout the year and fields travel teams in the greater Evansville area. The program’s Fall X-League has become the largest Fall League in Indiana.
N.D. Kendrick grew up in Elkhart, Indiana, and attended Concord Community High School. He is married to Lori Kendrick, and together they have three sons: Devyn, Dylen, and Dru. He studied at IPFW and earned his B.B.A. from the University of Toledo.
